I am making a return to posting blogs, mainly for the benefit of my parents who as it seems I do not see very much any more because of a manic lifestyle of rubbish job and more obviously my mega popularity with other people demanding my time. I will blog on good things, bad things and mostly things that really annoy me. So fo example here are 3 things that happened today that covered those bases.
1)Good Thing - I had a day off after 2 mega shifts at work where we have Justin Timberlake on, and I measure any good day off by neighbours... I mean the Aussie soap Neighbours. If I manage a '2 Neighbours day' I know I have relaxed and done nothing important, apart from watch the same episode of Neighbors twice!!
2)Bad Thing - Superdrug - I was in the aforementioned today and 2 things happened. I picked up a dual pack of Dove Soap which cost 98p for 2 bars. I then notice that 1 bar of the same soap cost 45p!! Ok maths was always just an average subject but you do the sums, I obviously opted for to single bars (a cost on the environment for packaging I know).
3) Annoy me moment - Also when in Superdrug, when at the till I was annoyed at the checkout girl.. I understand they are trained to 'up-sell' but in front of me there was an old lady who looked like she had saved up all her energy for the whole week to pay a visit to the shops. So when paying for her toiletries the young girl asked her 'Would you like any top-up's?'.. the old lady was confused and asked again what she meant but the girl simply repeated herself 'Would you like top-up's'and this happened 4 or 5 times over. Surely this girl could realise that the lady easily in her 80's would need mobile phone top-up's explained to her a little more clearly. To top it off when paying for my goods she tried to up-sell to me also but instead asked me in a thick brummy accent..'would you like any stamps today sir?'...
So that is me, since the last blog things are still the same... Still single although kinda seeing someone but you know how it is with an unsociable hours job, still a cricket fanatic, my guitar playing has improved somewhat but the voice has not, and still loving all my dear friends and family.
So for now I will (Birmingham rhyming slang) 0121...
